This is our mama Maria
and our papa Alfonso
Our mother Maria was born in Naples and has been the greatest influence on the food we enjoy to eat & cook. She taught us that tradition, simplicity & freshness is the key to great tasting Italian food.
Our father Alfonso was a farmer back in Sicily. Growing up we had a constant source of fresh ingredients from his backyard garden. He taught us that “a life celebrated with passion is a life enjoyed.”
We are Alberto & Antonio (Bert & Tony), Italian descendants and brothers, born on the same day 3 years apart. Bertoni was created when we left our senior corporate careers to combine two things we are most passionate about – food & people.
Our aim is simple – to share the assagi (flavours) that have been part of our family for generations with people who are passionate about food and coffee.
